#AFROYOUNGADULT

Goethe Institut (don’t have a lot of tongue trouble with the first word), a non-profit German cultural association promoting study of the German language while fostering cultural exchange worldwide has organized workshops between 11-15th February of 2019.

This follows its invitation for African writers writing for Young Adults (13-19 years) to submit short stories of 3,000-5,000 words in English, Kiswahili or French.

The workshops are set to take place across Africa with the best writers decided upon by a panel. These best stories will then be published in an anthology that will be launched at the Ake Arts and Book Festival 2019.

Submissions are open until November 30th, 2018. Send yours to Afroyoungadult
