The 2018 Toni Beauchamp Prize in Critical Art Writing is accepting submissions for works previously unpublished and that have been published within the past one year.
The art of critical writing is quite challenging as it requires one to deal with raw facts, arguments as well as evidence rather than playing with words and engaging one’s imaginative and creative side.
Judged by Wendy Vogel, the first winner will receive $3,000 and each of the two runners up awarded $1,000. They will feature in Gulf’s Coast online as well as printed journal.
For online submission,
- The work must be submitted as a single .doc, .docx, or .pdf file.
- The piece should not exceed 1,500 words.
- No information about the author should appear anywhere.
Note that the contest will be judged blindly and there is no entry fee!
The deadline is 15th September, 2018. Click here to submit.
